And Much More! Cofer/Adams Building Center is on the leading edge of technology in many areas of our industry. These include the latest technology in general ledger, point of sale, inventory management, and communications software. We have a self-sufficient Engineered Wood Department including a state of the art computer driven saw with an automated HVAC Chase Cutter, fully integrated CAD design, and optimization software.
We are especially proud of our floor system design using Boise Engineered Wood Products such as BCI Joists and Versa- Lam LVL. We purchase these in 48, 60 and 66 feet lengths, and cut them to the exact lengths (within 1/64 of an inch) required for a particular house plan. We also route the holes for HVAC ductwork. Builders are supplied with a detailed floor drawing showing where each joist is to be placed.
Cofer-Adams has a nine-acre facility that includes a main office and store complex, with a large selection of builders hardware, an engineered wood department, pre-hung door shop, and three warehouses with over 41,000 square feet of warehouse space. We also have the capability to provide custom millwork. Cofer/Adams Building Supply is pleased to provide free job-site delivery service within a 45 mile radius of our Lawrenceville, Georgia based operation. Exact job placement of materials can be coordinated through communication with our Sales, Dispatch or Driver staff. Each order is accurately pulled and loaded by our veteran pulling staff with attention to top loading the material required first by your sub-contractor. Once loaded, each order is double checked for accuracy, targeting a 100 percent fill rate for all stock items. We have one of the lowest backorder rates in the industry.With a combined delivery fleet consisting of pick-up trucks, 6 wheel enclosed van trucks, 6 and 10 wheel dump trucks, 10 wheel combination dump trucks, 10 wheel combination flatbed with Moffit and several tractor trailer/Moffit trucks, we are confident that Cofer/Adams Building Supply is equipped to handle all of your delivery requirements.
