Dr. Brenda Paulen has been delivering dental services in metro Atlanta for 35 years.
What is your primary product or service?
Proud Smiles is a health-centered dental practice delivering personalized dental care.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Dr. Paulen comes from a family of dental practitioners. Her dad, Dr. Jay Paulen, is now a retired dentist and her brother owns and operates a large dental laboratory here in metro Atlanta.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We know that there are many options available when choosing a dental care provider. We are a single doctor private practice where each patient is treated as family and we develop a personal plan for every patient. Since we are an out-of-network provider, our patients choose to come to us because of the quality of care and the experience.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Proud Smiles has only 1 location in Sandy Springs and there are no current plans to add any additional locations.
Provide detailed directions to your location
We are on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs, 1-mile inside the Rt285 perimeter highway. From Rt285, come inside the perimeter and proceed up the hill past the Prado shopping center on your right. After the Prado, there will be 2 back-to-back traffic lights where Glenridge Drive intersects Roswell Rd. Proceed through those lights and watch for the Chevron gas station on your right. We are in the shopping plaza immediately after the Chevron gas station. The plaza is called Mt. Paran Walk and we are visible from the street.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, cash, and checks. We also have 3rd-party financing options from CareCredit and LendingUSA. For patients without insurance, we also offer a membership plan where you can pay for 1-yr of preventative care treatments with a fixed discounted monthly payment.
Which areas do you service?
The majority of our patients either work or live in the Sandy Springs area, but we also have a sizeable number of patients that travel from outside Sandy Springs. Our patients come for the quality of care and experience, so travel distance is not a key consideration.

Dr. Paulen, and her husband John, are the owner/operators of Proud Smiles Dental.

Monday: 8a-5p; Tuesday 8a-7p; Wednesday 9a-1p; Thursday 8a-5p; Friday 9a-1p; Closed on Saturday & Sunday.
